I got these and this message in my e-mail today from a wonderful friend and I wanted to share them and the message with you

In October 2007, over a dozen wildfires across Southern California, United States forced the evacuation of thousands of residents. This evacuation comes almost four years to the day after the Cedar Fire of 2003.
At least one person has been reported dead.
Fires burned in Malibu, Lake Arrowhead, Irvine, San Diego, and many other places. California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles, Orange, Poway, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Di ego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties as a result.
This is the worst case of wildfires Southern California has ever had.

Pray for all the people that have lost their homes.
Pray these fires die down soon.
Pray for the firefighters and their safety.

Amazing pictures:
Last evening I spoke at length with a friend who lives near Mount Miguel (just out of San Diego )and was watching the line of fire coming at her home over the crest of the mountain. She said the sparks were raining down. She sent me a few pictures as well. The sun through the smoke looked like an eclipse almost.. These pictures are stunning yet terrifying. They had their vehicles loaded and ready to leave when with luck the wind changed. She never slept for days she said.

Almost three years ago, a young friend, Lucee, lost her life after serving time in Sri Lanka following the Tsunami. I hope that I haven't upset anyone by posting the original pictures. I've added some (20) of your pictures to my part of Multiply, but will delete them on request.
